About Kris
Bio
Although Kris is originally from Australia, he has lived in Auckland for over 20 years. Does that make him a Jafa? He says yes, but some diehard locals may disagree. One thing is for sure: Whoever you are, we’re all recent geological arrivals (Māori first settled Auckland around 1350).
During his time in Auckland, Kris has been a computer technician, website creator, vector artist, jewellery artist, wannabe novelist, movie runner, explorer, gem-hunter and periodic layabout. He imagines spending the rest of his life creating local jewellery and tilting at the windmill of getting a novel published.
Kris enjoys the outdoors and the balmy weather Auckland provides. He goes camping, cycles the cycleways, and drops his pack-raft in the harbour both for leisure and beach-combing.
